75th Anniversary of Second Assault Amphibious Battalion

Over the last 75 years, 2d AAV BN has been a vital part to the operational capabilities of 2d MARDIV providing ship to shore capabilities that have evolved from a lightly funded theory of warfare into a deadly amphibious capability of the Marine Corps.

Second Battalion Marines Memorial Day Message

Second Marine Division 50 Mile Challenge

U.S. Marines and Sailors of 2d Marine Division (2d Mardiv), participate in the 50 mile challenge, a 50 mile hike, for the 76th anniversary of 2d MARDIV on Camp Lejeune, N.C., Feb. 1, 2017. Nearly 100 years ago Theodore Roosevelt challenged U.S. Marines with hiking 50 miles with in 72 hours.

Iron Wolf 17

U.S. Marines and Sailors of second Marine Division participate in Iron Wolf 17 on Camp Lejeune, N.C. from July 17 to July 21, 2017. Iron Wolf 17 is a multi-unit training exercise led by 2d Tank Battalion, aimed at promoting proficiency and operational readiness.

Second Marine Division Lineage Film

This film traces the illustrious history  of the  Second Marine Division.  From the island hopping campaign in the Pacific theater of World War II, to the deserts of Iraq and Afghanistan Marines of the "Follow Me" Division proved themselves to be a formidable fighting force, and continue to serve in every clime and place.  The sun has never set on the Second Marine Division.
